The comedian dressed in a tailored double breasted blazer with a risque plunging neckline and an intense eye motif slapped across the front running down the star’s sleeve and pant leg. The trouser, like its blazer counterpart, was predominantly white and straight-legged, the slightly basic style contrasting with the structured upper half.

Women’s suits have evolved a lot over the years, but their origins can still be seen in the suits worn today. The classic style is made up of two-piece models specially designed for a woman’s shape. Women’s suits often feature a fitted skirt or slacks with a matching blazer. The style emerged in the early 1900s during the suffragette movement, but only reached its peak in the 1980s as more women entered the workforce.

Blanchett channeled the ’90s, slipping into black platform sandals reminiscent of sunny summer days and warmer weather. The style consisted of thick straps crossing the tops of the comedian’s feet, securing them in place, accompanied by thick raised platforms that added a few extra inches to Blanchett’s look.

Guillermo Del Toro’s “Pinocchio” is a darker take on the fairy tale classic with a star-studded cast of characters about a father’s wish that magically brings a wooden boy to life in Italy, giving him a chance to take care of the child. The film is set to hit select theaters from Friday, November 25. It will then be available to stream on Netflix two weeks later on Friday, December 9.
