Chloe Bailey hits high notes at NYFW singing in see-through sandals – Footwear News


Saks kicked off New York Fashion Week in a big way. The event, which hosted the affair at L’Avenue in Saks on Thursday evening, served as a real kickoff to the busy schedule of parades and celebrations.

Guests were greeted with a towering jitter of glasses, shelves full of designer pieces and a special performance by Chloe Bailey. The evening served as a debut for Bailey, who was recently revealed as the star of Saks Fifth Avenue’s fall/winter campaign.

The “Have Mercy” hitmaker pulled out a stunning look to take to the stage and serenade the crowd. Bailey made a sparkling arrival in a black sequin dress. The garment had a deep V-neckline, loose sleeves, a risque central thigh-high slit, and a long hemline that gently swept the floor as she walked.

The five-time Grammy-nominated singer styled her hair in a bun and continued to enhance her look with shimmery lavender eyeshadow and a neutral pout. Bailey wore her essentials in a small square brown clutch and continued to accessorize with silver hoop earrings and a chain link choker necklace.

To complete the look, a pair of transparent black sandals. The style of shoe had a wide strap over the toe and was set on a small heel.

Strappy sandals are currently taking center stage as one of the most popular shoe styles. Heels have made many celebrities abandon the comfort of their counterpart. With signature interlocking straps ranging from minimalist to maximalist, lace-up sandals are obviously the tried-and-true shoe of the summer.
