Scouting Report: These hiking shoes are so comfortable, every step is nice and thanks to their lightweight design they don’t weigh me down either.
Travel is officially back and I couldn’t be more excited. After I go through lockdown in New York, I’m ready to go in the great outdoors, hike through forests, walk along streams, trample mountains, all of that good stuff. But, since I haven’t hiked much in the past year, I decided it was time to improve my shoes. Glad I did because I haven’t found a more comfortable pair of shoes for hiking than these.
Danner Trail 2650 Campo’s
The Danner Trail 2650 Campo are not only comfortable, they are above all stylish. They look like running shoes, but make no mistake: they are perfect for hiking in any terrain and can replace bulky hiking shoes in just about any situation, especially in hot weather. . The shoe combines durable leather and a lightweight upper that’s breathable, comfortable, and slips on perfectly, so you can spend less time lacing and more time hiking the trails. I love the light feel of the shoes – instead of feeling like I’m dragging myself and my shoes up the mountain, I feel like I have one less thing to worry about and one less thing to worry about. something less that weighs me down. The shoe is padded, so instead of feeling like I’m walking on jagged rocks, I feel like I’m walking on a cloud instead. While they offer less ankle support than your regular hiking boots, I found the shoe’s sturdiness to be worth it. Plus, grip is great thanks to the Vibram outsole, and after two weeks of hiking I haven’t slipped once.
But again, one of my favorite features about them is this: I can wear them on hikes and to dinner. They are not big and abrasive, but rather sleek and understated. They’re the perfect multitasking, always up for adventure and most importantly, ready for whatever I do. Ultimately, that’s all you can really ask for from a hiking shoe.
