Jamie Spears suspended from Britney Spears guardianship

Jamie Spears has been officially suspended from Britney’s guardianship.
The decision was just rendered by Judge Brenda Penny at a Los Angeles courthouse – where Spears virtually attended.

Britney has been under guardianship since 2008. The judge appointed John Zabel, a CPA, as temporary curator of the estate until December 31.

There was a ton of explosive testimony during today’s hearing.

Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, has asked the court to end the guardianship and settlement.

Britney and her legal team – led by attorney Matthew Rosengart – are asking that Jamie be removed from guardianship. Instead, they asked the court to immediately replace Jamie with a new Tory – John Zabel -.

They asked for another hearing to be set in 30 to 45 days as they would further delve into Ms Spears’ finances. Rosengart alleged that Jamie Spears was trying to avoid an investigation into the abuse Britney suffered.

Rosengart said in the courtroom that Jamie only wanted “the delay and the money”. In fact, Rosengart argued that Jamie would use the settlement process to further delay the end of the guardianship.

He even alleged that Britney’s father had spied on her in her home via surveillance footage. An allegation that Jamie’s legal team immediately denied.

“Jamie Spears can’t be in (Britney’s) life another day,” Rosengart argued repeatedly throughout the affair. He said in part that Britney was afraid of him.

Meanwhile, supporters of the 39-year-old pop star once again gathered outside the courthouse to rally in favor of the musician all day Wednesday:
