Dancer Julianne Hough has joined the growing list of celebrities heading to Art Basel this year. Art Basel is a for-profit, privately owned and operated international art fair that showcases some of the world’s most incredible works of art. In true Art Basel spirit, the popular Snapchat app has teamed up with American artist Alex Isreal to create an interactive exhibit that comes to life using Snapchat’s advanced augmented reality technology. The exhibit uses Snap’s Marker Tracking, a technology that links an augmented reality digital experience to a physical object. Thanks to this technology, the painted panels become portals to immersive and animated experiences. The immersive experience will run throughout December, through May 2022, and Hough urges his fans to check it out before it ends.
Hough posted a series of photos on Instagram of herself interacting with the five artworks in the exhibit. In the pictures, she is wearing a floral long-sleeved jumpsuit that mirrored the look of a silk pajama set. The tropical pattern was placed on a structured fabric, giving the jumpsuit a rugged look.
The dancer also wore black strappy heels that were a bit high.
She has also made many fun videos with the artwork, showing off the venue’s vast collections while praising Isreal for his work. “So exciting to witness such innovation, such game and such art!” she wrote on Instagram. “You are a genius and a breath of fresh air, Alex Isreal.” Alex Isreal followed, personally showing the dancer through the exhibition.
