The first shoe collaboration between Stone Island and New Balance has surfaced.
Stone Island has revealed its take on the New Balance RC Elite SI_1 NB_1, a stylish reinvention of the performance running and training shoe.
The racing style is loaded with technology, highlighted by its lightweight and updated FuelCell midsole which is paired with a carbon fiber plate, which has been created to deliver high energy return with a propulsive transition – ideal for speed, whatever the distance. Additionally, it features a breathable 3D knit upper with a slim and breathable race-ready upper designed to provide lightweight structure in the midfoot.
Other functional elements of the shoe include a cutout in the midsole to reduce weight and reveal plate, as well as a perforated outsole for reduced weight and increased traction.
To highlight the collaboration, 3D printed mid and side logos, with New Balance graphics on the right foot and the Stone Island compass logo on the left. Additionally, New Balance Tokyo Design Studio and Stone Island Product Research wordmarks are added to languages.
The Stone Island x New Balance RC Elite SI_1 NB_1 is coming October 7 to Stone Island in select flagship stores through its Click From Store service. It will then fall on October 12 Going through Stoneisland.com, and on October 13 on the Stone Island WeChat Store for Mainland Chinese Consumers. Price information has not yet been released.
New Balance confirmed in March that it has built a long-term relationship with Stone Island and that collaborative product releases will arrive this year.
