UK shoe retailer Clarks appoints new CEO

Clarks, a UK-based retail footwear brand, has appointed Jonathan Ram as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will join the company in April 2022. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Ram owns extensive leadership experience in footwear and apparel. His most recent role was as Group President, Global Activewear at HanesBrands, Inc., where he led the growth of the global activewear business across multiple brands and businesses.

Prior to that, Ram spent sixteen years at New Balance where over the years he led the LATAM, EMEA and North American businesses. He was instrumental in the transformation, growth and profitability of the EMEA business and then led the multichannel business in North America, the company said in a press release.
