What to make of Terrance McKinney’s polite caption on The Rock?

Recently, the UFC gained another promotional partner in “Project Rock.”

The company that has Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as its face is now the official footwear partner of the UFC – but with no reported revenue, at least not yet, that trickles down to the athletes who have to wear the shoes.

Following the shoe’s debut in September, UFC lightweight Terrance McKinney decided to pull the trigger and get Johnson’s attention on social media.

“Hey brotha @TheRock if you’re a fan of what we do make the case favorable to those who model your shoe,” McKinney tweeted. “I understand it’s not your fault or your business, but show us the love you think you are. Come into our corner and support us.

So what is the conclusion of McKinney’s tweet? Did he approach this problem in the right way? What can we think of the new footwear offer in general?

MMA Junkie’s “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Mike Bohn and Nolan King discussed the topic with “Gorgeous” host George Garcia. You can watch their conversation in the video above or check out this week’s full episode below.
